SUMMARY:Paul Welburn - British nostalgia with a modern twist cookery demo
DESCRIPTION:Chef Patron of The Cygnet at the Swan Inn Paul Welburn (previously awarded Michelin stars at The Oxford Kitchen 2018 and Rhodes W1 2008) has trained and worked with some of the best chefs in the UK\, cooking gently nostalgic British dishes with modern twists with influences from abroad. His career has already spanned top restaurants and now is focused on launching and evolving The Swan Inn\, already in the Michelin Guide\, to showcase his passion for seasonal and flavour driven dishes once again. \n\nMICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View\n\n\nOwned by one of the villagers\, this traditional-looking pub is not all that it seems; instead of walking through the door and finding yourself at the bar\, you’ll now find yourself facing the open kitchen. Sit in the lounge for ‘English tapas’ or head through to the Cygnet restaurant\, where fairy lights hang from the beams and art is for sale on the walls. Modern British dishes feature on two 4 course set menus – one vegetarian – and you can mix and match between them. Colourful dishes have interesting textures\, temperatures and tastes. \n\nIf you need disabled parking or access do contact us here with your requirements – we’d love to help you! \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X

SUMMARY:Five Little Pigs - Seasonal & Local Cookery Demo
DESCRIPTION:Aimee Collins\, head chef at Wallingford’s Michelin-recommended restaurant\, Five Little Pigs\, will be showcasing the best of spring with some recipes using seasonal and local ingredients. Expect new season rhubarb\, foraged wild garlic and blushing pink lamb. There’ll be suggestion of cocktails to make too\, including a rhubarb sour and wild garlic Bloody Mary. \nFive Little Pigs opened its doors nearly two years ago\, after a successful crowd-funding campaign. It prides itself on an ever-evolving menu of seasonal\, modern British food\, that celebrates local produce and local producers\, with whom they are proud to work incredibly closely with.  It is proud to have recently won a place in The Michelin Guide! \n\nMICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View\n\n\nNamed after a novel by Agatha Christie\, who lived at the nearby Winterbrook House\, this neighbourhood restaurant is divided into three areas: the brightly coloured front resembles a modern bistro; a bar fits in the centre; and the rear sports an open kitchen pass and cosy booths. Sharing is encouraged\, with larger plates such as roasted halibut and smaller ones like ‘spare bed tempura’ – using vegetables grown in the gardens of neighbours who have some space to spare. The wholesome cooking is joined by a range of local gins to keep enthusiasts happy. \n\nIf you need disabled parking or access do contact us here with your requirements – we’d love to help you! \n  \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X
