Up The Street

Take an hour-long walk through Dorchester’s past by following the Shops and Pubs trail with local historians Denise Line, Margot Metcalfe and Gail Thomas. We’ll take you from the mid-19^th century to the present, telling the story of past and present local businesses and some of the families who ran them.

This walk will start in Dorchester Abbey Porch and take an hour, so wear comfortable shoes!

This walk will almost all be on pavements and can be done in a wheelchair but some help may be needed for cobbled areas and kerbs..  Do get in touch if you have any questions about accessibility and we will do our best to help.
