Food & Gift Festival Booking Form 2024

Stallholder Applications Start Here!

Welcome to Dorchester Festival Food and Gift Festival!  We welcome applications for 2024 using the form below.

This Food and Gift Festival is held in the shadow of Dorchester Abbey – a stunning location which attracts many international visitors in its own right.  It is mainly under cover in a large smart marquee with some space for external food outlets.

We expect to get about 2,000 people through the Food marquee over the 2 days.  Because this is part of a wider Festival, there will be great footfall from events such as The Tallis Scholars, local tours, our very popular scarecrow trail and, of course, the cookery demos and workshops that are being held nearby.  We will also have live bands performing on an outside stage throughout the weekend to and outside food stalls to keep customers entertained and returning to the tent.

You will need to arrive in good time to unload and repark your car in the village
Stallholders will not be allowed to pack up stalls early – it is not safe to drive around the site during the opening times

If you are a food producer you will need to provide the following documentation:
Risk Assessment
Hygiene Certificate
Allergen Information for your products
Refrigeration if your products require it
Without this information we are unable to permit access to the site on the day.

Space for your stall
Table(s) for £5 a day (if requested)
Assistance with loading and unloading
Overnight security
Electricity (if requested)
Water Supply (If requested)
Public profile on the Dorchester Festival website and through Twitter

The Food Fair is held behind Dorchester Abbey in the Cloister Garden area.
This lovely location is only accessible through a curved fenced passage at the rear and the main Abbey Lych Gate from the High St.
You cannot access this site with anything larger than a standard sized transit van!
There are both height restrictions (the Lych gate) and wheel base restrictions (the curved fence)
There are, however, areas to park nearby from which you could unload if you brought a trolley. Please contact us to discuss!

Priority will be given to products grown, made and/or sold within a 30 miles of Dorchester-on-Thames
Most stalls will be housed within the Main Festival marquee, but there is outside space available – this will require you to bring your own gazebo/raincover

If you cancel your stall before the 1st April, 50% of your fee will be refunded.
If you cancel your stall after the 1st April there will be no refund of your fee.
