The straw bale arena will showcase the dog classes throughout the day with more formal classes in the morning and fun classes in the afternoon. From “Best Rescue” to “My Dog’s got Talent” there is a class for you and your dog!   All dogs welcome –  young or old, mutt or pedigree.  Judging will be done by our popular local vet practice Larkmead Vets who are also sponsoring this event.

Alongside the show ring there will be delicious refreshments available all day and stalls for you and your dog to peruse.

So that the day runs smoothly there will be a strict limit on the number of dogs allowed into each class.  Please do register in advance to ensure you get a place!  On the day please take your ticket to the registration desk and they will exchange it for your Show number.

**Special Veteran Award to Prettiest Bitch and Most Handsome Dog categories. These will be judged within these classes**

from 10am  Registration

The Judge will be looking at the history of the rescue and the journey the dog and owner have come on together. How the owner and dog have worked together to surmount any problems and build their bonds.
The Judge will ask each owner to hold their dog in the show position to showcase their muscle structure and balance. The head should be straight and the tail extended. Attention will be paid to your dogs eyes, the head and muzzle shape will also be assessed including their teeth and bite. The owner will be asked to run their dog to demonstrate heel work and obedience. The Judge will the be able to notice coat condition, movement, and temperament with the owner.

Dog Training Demonstration by Holistic Hounds
Anything goes, the more effort the more we like it. No theme just let your imagination run wild and have fun. Wow us all with your creativity and humour.
Show us what you and your dog can do, and I am sure we will be amazed!
This is a class that gives children the perfect opportunity to show their bond with their dog. As a child handler they should know all the basic information about their dog including age, feeding routine and breed if appropriate. They will be judged on how they handle the dog, do they have control and does the dog respond to their commands. The Judge will take note of the child’s relationship with the dog.
This event is great fun!
The Judge will play music and when the music stops the owner commands their dog to sit. The last dog to sit is out, this continues until we have a winner.
Yes its musical chairs for dogs!
Winners of all classes are invited to take part in this final class so that the Judge can decide who is Best in Show
