A  fun day out for all the family and your dog held in the beautiful grounds of Dorchester Abbey.

The outdoor show ring will be a calm and safe area for your dog to take part in the classes throughout the day.  There will be a class to suit you and your dog whether puppy, veteran, recue or the fun loving fancy dress type.  All dogs welcome – mutt or pedigree – and that goes for the owners too!

Delicious refreshments available all day and stalls for you to peruse.

So that the day runs smoothly there will be a strict limit on the number of dogs allowed into each class.  Please do register in advance to ensure you get a place!  On the day please take your ticket to the registration desk and they will exchange it for your Show number.

For your mature dog or bitch age 10 years and above.
Puppies must be at least 14 weeks old to enter and no older than 12 months.
Time to enjoy refreshments and a walk for your dog around the village.
The Judge will be looking at the history of the rescue and the journey the dog and owner have come on together. How the owner and dog have worked together to surmount any problems and build their bonds.
This is a class that gives children the perfect opportunity to show their bond with their dog. As a child handler they should know all the basic information about their dog including age, feeding routine and breed if appropriate. They will be judged on how they handle the dog, do they have control and does the dog respond to their commands. The Judge will take note of the child’s relationship with the dog.
Anything goes, the more effort the more we like it. No theme just let your imagination run wild and have fun. Wow us all with your creativity and humour.
This event is great fun!
The Judge will play music and when the music stops the owner commands their dog to sit. The last dog to sit is out, this continues until we have a winner.
Yes its musical chairs for dogs!
Winners of all classes are invited to take part in this final class so that the Judge can decide who is Best in Show
Enjoy our great dog show stalls!
