Sam Kelly and his trio
Sam Kelly is a BBC Radio 2 Folk award winning musician, singer, songwriter and producer. His band are festival favourites across the UK folk scene and he has played with the likes of Kate Rusby, Seth Lakeman, John McCuster, Phil Beer and Katherine Priddy. Whether playing to 13 million people on prime-time television, or to 10 people in a tiny pub, Sam’s child-like fascination with music shines through, and his passion for discovering and rekindling the sounds of his musical heritage has gained him the respect of peers and audiences worldwide.
“I think this guy is absolutely brilliant… His voice is beyond sublime. One of my favourite singers ever.” Mike Harding
“Sam has such a beautiful voice and sings with so much soul. I’ve seen him perform live and he’s amazing” Cara Dillon
Restless Oceans is an acoustic band from all over Oxfordshire, a joyful riot of like minded souls.
The band thrive when writing collaboratively and bring together indie, folk, rock and pop influences to create a unique sound with catchy lyrics and melodies that get the audience singing along – even if seeing live for the first time. Songs draw on themes of life transitions, reflections and passing time with a positive outlook that motivates and inspires.
Their debut EP, Time & Light, was recorded in Oxford at Evolution Studio, with Nick Moorbath, in June 2023.
